About the Instructor

Hello, I’m Maya

I believe yoga should feel welcoming, calm, and safe for every body, at every age.

My Story

I created Yoga Peace Palace because I wanted a calm, friendly place where adults over 55 could explore yoga without pressure. Too often, yoga is shown as something only for the very flexible. I have always believed that it is for everyone.

My teaching focuses on slow, comfortable movement, easy breathing, and real-life routines that fit into an ordinary day. I write every guide in plain language, with large type and plenty of options, so you can feel confident.

My Approach: The Four S’s

  • Safety: Every pose uses a chair, a wall, or another support. We move slowly and we stop when something does not feel right.
  • Simplicity: Short sessions, clear steps, and no complicated terms.
  • Support: Props are welcome. Asking for help is part of the practice.
  • Serenity: Calm breathing and quiet moments are just as important as movement.
